ZBrush is a revolutionary 3D sculpting and painting application used throughout the film and gaming industry. This is a must have skillset for any artist looking to start a career in the 3D Universe. In this workshop, students will first learn how to use a Wacom tablet, which provides a much higher level of precision, and pressure sensitivity than a mouse. Students will learn to effectively navigate the ZBrush interface and the 3D workspace, to get started creating their own three dimensional works of art. We will then explore the different ways that artists can interact with their model, using brushes and alphas to create the desired forms. Each student will create their own character bust, which will be reviewed at the conclusion of the workshop. This workshop runs two weeknights, Wednesdays, 6/3 & 6/10, 6:30-9:30pm. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of the Final Cut Pro X software and video editing concepts, with a particular focus on creating multimedia projects. This course is appropriate for all skill levels, and for videographers and photographers alike. Learn to import and ingest your project assets into Final Cut Pro X; log and organize your footage using Keyword Collections, Folders, Ratings, Notes and more. You will also learn to edit your project together in the magnetic timeline from assembly cut to picture lock. At the end of the workshop you will apply finishing techniques to your project including audio adjustments, still animation, transitions and be able to export your project and quickly upload it to the most popular web outlets; YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and more. This workshop will give you the techniques necessary to bring your rap vocals up to the professional standard. We will start with raw recordings and go step by step through the process of clean up and editing, tone shaping and dynamics control, ambience and space, and special FX. A variety of approaches to dealing with doubles, ad libs, and hooks, will also be covered. Whether your looking for crystal clear polish or in your face, raw dirt, this workshop will give you the skills you need. Topics include: session clean up, creating a mix template, EQ, compression, parallel processing, reverb & delay, panning, distortion, and automation Workshop runs from 6:30-9:30pm.
