Now more than ever, web designers and developers must understand responsive design; ensuring that websites work on all screens and devices is crucial, and isn't always easy to pull off. Did you know that Google recently changed their search algorithm to favor mobile-friendly sites? In this workshop, students will get started with solid foundation in HTML. Then, after covering essential CSS and web layout principles, our instructor will use pixels, percents and media queries to make sure your page works on all screens, big and small. This Free workshop runs from 6:30-8:30pm. Please note: These classes are offered as workshops and not as occupational training programs.
Learn about the principles of lighting a portrait in the studio. Explore successful lighting set-ups, and talk about how to work with a subject, choice of background, and styling. Using examples of studio portraiture, instructors will begin by showing participants how to light the face. Then, students will be introduced to four, pre-made sets: a high key-set, a low-key set, a back-lit set with reflectors, and a split-light set. The instructor will demonstrate each set and talk about the lighting design. Participants will then have time to rotate through the sets and make portraits. This FREE workshop runs from 6:30-8:30pm. Please note: These classes are offered as workshops and not as occupational training programs.
